Important Alert About 911 Calls

If you are using a cellular telephone: If you are on Capitol Hill and have an emergency, be aware that dialing "911" from a cell phone will connect to the District of Columbia 911 system and not the United States Capitol Police.

Dial (202) 224-0911, (202) 225-0911, or (202) 228-0911 to reach the Capitol Police directly. If you work on Capitol Hill, it is encouraged that you program one of these numbers in your cell phone.

If you are using a "land line": Calling 911 on a "land line" connects you with the United States Capitol Police, who will notify the OAP Emergency Response Team.
